Meet Tracey Marino and Vance Marino

Tracey Marino and Vance Marino of SongMaker Productions are a wife-and-husband writing team. They've written and produced more than 3,000 songs and instrumentals, and their music is heard daily around the world. Among their specialties are composing upbeat, positive music for commercials, reality TV, and talk shows, as well as location music for film and other media.

Tracey Marino is originally from Boston, Massachusetts, and lived in Houston, Texas, where, at a young age, she developed an appreciation for folk and country music and could play just about anything by ear. She was trained in jazz and classical piano and plays various keyboards, electric and pipe organ, calliope, percussion, and other instruments. She also sings and directs choirs.

Vance Marino is originally from Oahu, Hawai'i, and lived in Phoenix, Arizona, where he toured with a country band. He plays all types of guitar (acoustic, electric, classical), ukulele, mandolin, many stringed instruments, bass, drums, and sings. While in school, he studied producing and arranging. Vance teaches private online songwriting lessons.

Tracey and Vance Marino have two Pro Tools studios in San Diego, California, and they offer professional music feedback sessions, coaching, guidance, and consultations
to those who are serious about writing for sync.

The Marinos are active members of many professional music organizations including:
SONA (Songwriters of North America), GMS (Friends of the Guild of Music Supervisors), the AIMP (Association of Independent Music Publishers), the CCC (California Copyright Conference), the SCL (Society of Composers and Lyricists, SongArts Committee), the NMPA (National Music Publishers' Association), among others.

Since 2012, the Marinos have been the
NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) Coordinators of the NSAI San Diego Chapter.
